Our Target Area

The Dayton Southeast Weed and Seed target area is located within the Southeast
Priority Board area (the largest Priority Board in Dayton),
and includes approximately 10,080 people (39.4% of the
entire city's residents). It is made up of primarily
urban Appalachian population and consists of four neighborhoods
just south and east of downtown Dayton, Ohio (Burkhardt,
Huffman Historic, Newcom Plain, St. Anne's Hill Historic and Springfield).
Both Huffman and St. Anne's Hill Historic have attracted significant residential invenstment.
The Dayton Southeast target area is comprised of Historic Inner East, Burkhardt,
and Springfield neighborhoods. The target area is bordered
on the east by Seminary Avenue to Hedges Street to North
Sperling Avenue to Gaddis Boulevard; on the north side by the Mad River; on the
west side by South Keowee Street; and on the south side by State Route 35.
Census tracts include the following: 19, 20 and 23.
